Matthew 13

Key Verse: 31-32

“Every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven – except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven. Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.”

Reflection:

It is scary to think about how blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is unforgivable, and it is incredibly frustrating and sad to think that so many people took the “Blasphemy Challenge” and said they do not believe in the Holy Spirit and do not believe in God, and will never EVER be forgiven and go to the kingdom of heaven. These are kids that did it, what will happen when they grow old and realize that God does exist and they aren’t going to heaven… It’s so sad

Matthew 12

Key Verse: 36-37

“And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you”

Reflection: This reminds me of how important words can be and how they can build up or destroy something. Just yesterday did I hear someone belittle a person to make them cry, and then a few minutes later praise God for how awesome and amazing he truly is. How incredibly hypocritical that person was being and hopefully it taught me that people have feelings just like me and how each and every word I speak will be counted and judged on.

Ok, I admit it!!!

I think I have ADHD sometimes because while in a pray group, I am always counting the “Lords” and “Fathers” in someone’s prayers.. Why? I don’t know, but I always do it and I always get off track. It’s so frustrating and so hilarious at the same time.. lol, I don’t know why.

Oh well, Rants of a tired teenager I guess.

You are invited.

Okay, so this doesn’t really have anything to do with an invitation persay…

But I just wanted to say how much I appreciate God putting people into my life. I met this girl a few weeks ago, and I’m already so close with her and it’s just crazy how to think if I didn’t know her i’d pass her on the street not even giving her a glance. This is madness!! THIS IS SPARTAAA.. no, no it isn’t.. This is Cody’s Life.

Anyways, This week is vacation and everyone else as school which is dumb because last week we had school and everyone had vacation. So, I am working tomorrow and tuesday, and then fri-sat i am in mass. at my cousin’s wedding and then Sunday I am driving from mass. to LP all by myself, so please pray for me throughout the week I don’t get lost because i am extremely bad with directions and I don’t know how I am going to do driving long distances by myself.. LOL

Anyways, Tonight I had a discussion with someone close and It really reminded me of how I need to live FOR God and now just talk about things of God. So yeah, im working on that.

I just got my reportcard Friday and its REALLY good.. lowest grade is a 80, then 88, then 91, then 94, then 95, then 98 .. so yeah im excited. yay me, I got to go to Red Lobster and eat a crazy good dinner and chocolate cake.

So, 19 people have read my Blog today — so i am wondering, have 19 people actually read my blog? or is it just spammers wanting to solicit their stuff.. cause that’d be sad. I do hope people are like, reading this stuff.. Or whatever, I don’t care.. maybe i do? Who knows.

I am tired, and sad because she had to go to sleep already. Poo

Night.

Matthew 11

Key Verse: 28-30

“Then Jesus said, “Comke to me all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Reflection: So, this is the reflection given in my bible.. I think it said it incredibly well. ~~ A yoke is a heavy wooden harness that fits over a shoulder of an ox. It is attached to a piece of equipment the oxen are to pull. A person may be carrying heavy burdens of sin, excessive demands of religious leaders, oppression and persecution, or weariness in the search for God. Jesus frees people from all these burdens . The rest of that Jesus promises is love, healing, and peace with God. Not the end of al labor. A relationship with God changes meaningless, wearisome toil into spiritual productivity and purpose.

Amen!

Matthew 10

Key Verse: 30

“And the very hairs on your head are numbered”

Reflection: I think this must be one of my very favorite verses in all of the Bible.. It shows how much God loves you, that he has numbered the hairs on your head. How incredible is that? Can YOU count your hair strands? NOPEZ. But God can, and did and he knows them all. This verse shows how much God knows about us and how much God loves us.

Maybe for a wedding gift for my future wife, ill be like, “Im showing you my love by counting your hair strands..k?… One, Two…..Three-hundred billion ninty thousand and four…..

Matthew 9

Okay, So I’ve deffinetly been slacking on the Bible Study!!! AHHHH, I have to do 9-10-11-12 today, GEEZEEEE I hope I can do it!!!

So, I have vacation this week so im super happy, If anyone wants to do anything let me know!!!!

Key Verse: 11-13

“But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with such scum?” When Jesus heard this he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor- sick people do.”Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture. ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices. For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous but those who know they are sinners.’

Reflection: When he visited Matthew, Jesus hurt his own reputation among the religious elite in order to reach out to those who were lost. Matthew’s reputation hadn’y yet caught up with his new life as a disciple, but he became a bridge for Jesus’ message to the Pharisees. We should not be afraid to reach oput to other people who are living in sin.

A lot of the stuff was very similiar to Michelle’s survey, hahaha. Whatever.

I’m in 4th period right now and I just found out that I accidentally skipped my 2nd period First Aid class because I got confused… (3 days a week 2nd period i have study hall, 2 days a week 2nd period I have first aid…SOoooooooo the 2 days a week I have first aid, Tuesday and Thursday I have 4th period study hall too… So today i thought it was Friday and I went to study hall 2nd period like i would have on friday and then I got to 4th period and i had study hall and i was like OH CRAP… so now i have to go talk to the teacher to tell him what happened and hope he doesn’t give me a cut slip. OI VAY.

Yesterday was VoAg openhouse so i got to play with baby sheep all day, that was exciting… The sheep’s name was “Bocephus” (Boh- See- Fuss) and he was basically a lapsheep.. He didn’t care WHAT you did to him, he would just chill out on your lap and make bayying noises.. It was sooo cute.

The bell just rang, so i’ll update more later

PEACE.

Matthew 8

Key Verse: 20-22

“But Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of man has no place even to lay his head.” Another of his disciples said, “Lord, first let me return home and bury my father.” but Jesus told him, “Follow me now, let the spiritually dead bury their own dead.”"

Reflection:

Following Jesus is not always easy or comfortable. often it means great costs and sacrifices in our lives… Jesus didn’t have a place to call home. This reminds me that following Christ will most likely cost me popularity, friendship, or habits. Even though the cost of following Christ is high, the reward for being a disciple of Christ is even higher. It lasts an eternity and gives incredible rewards.

Prayer:

I pray tonight that I have a good rest of the week, I pray that even though I cannot go to LP this weekend I still am able to learn something about you Lord. I pray to you to help me get a new job at the hospital side of Pieper Olson, for a better wage and more hours. I pray to you for strength and guidance to find a new job that yields greater rewards. in your name, Amen.
