Lots of good advice above. You have a lot of people who have you in their hearts. It helps me to begin my day with a prayer of thanks as I enter the waking world. I think of that song Breathe. Taking the moment to listen to my own coming in and going out reminds me of him. It's simple and always there. I'll be thinking of you and I hope you have some great adventures.

I think that first thing Stephanie said is the best advice! If we are feeling far from God it is not because He has walked away from us, but rather that we have walked away from Him. If you purpose in your heart to make time for Him every day, He will meet you there! If it's bad habits you're worrying about, you know as well as I do that it's all about the friends you surround yourself with. Do what Randi did, and start looking now for what is offered for college-age kids in the city and make friends from those groups. Spend less time worrying and more time preparing for what's ahead. It takes 21 days to make a habit, so if you haven't already, start now with making time daily for Him so that once you get there, you will already be in the habit. Start a study now so you can keep going with it up at school. I think it's a good idea to hook up with a mentor who will hold you accountable and offer support through your transition. It's not our surroundings that make or break our walk with God, it's our own hearts!

Plus you are close enough to come home if you need anything... It won't be that bad! You will be coming home for the launch so you can work your way into being gone. We will all miss you a lot though!

i became a christian in my senior year of high school, and i was nervous about going away and getting back into bad habits. (drinking, etc) at first i mostly tried to meet other christians. since i was in boston, i joined a christian group that all college students from the area went to. i looked on my own campus to see if there were any christian clubs. berklee didn't have what i was looking for so i went to northeastern's christian clubs where i went on retreats and did community service.

i researched the area A LOT before i went there and found a great church to go to. (they even had a shuttle bus that picked up students all around the city). i know becker is in worcester and there are a number of colleges in the area. you might be lucky and find an awesome church that has a college student service so that the teachings every week will be relevant for you. i think a service like that would help you connect to other people your age that are going through the same stuff. that helped me a lot.

i know this sounds so silly, but it was hard for me to pray in a room that wasn't my bedroom. it was a new room and i had a roommate and it was hard to find quiet time. when i was away from home and on a totally different schedule, i made it a point to start everyday with time with the Lord early in the morning. maybe you can pick up a 30 day Bible study to get you on the right track when you get there. when i got to berklee i had started purpose-driven life and it helped me commit to getting in the word everyday.

I agree just keep doing what you are doing, be a good witness, stay in the word... we are all not that far away... we will be praying... this will stretch you and your spiritual life to really stand out and really trust God. It will be so excited to see what He has for you there and exciting to see how you will grow. We will miss you :( More than you know. !

You will only lose God if you let yourself. God will never walk away from you. Keep doing what you are doing now.

Pray, a lot. You can pray while doing things like walking to class or doing laundry not just during your quiet time.

Have quiet time every day and stay in the Word. Set a time in your schedule every day to do it. In the morning, if you can.

Go to church. Either on campus or in the area because I doubt you are coming home every Sunday and you can't go 3/4 of the year without church.

Find new Godly friends. Stay in touch with the ones you have now.

Find a good mentor if you don't have one.

Pray the God will keep Himself in the front of your mind. Pray this starting now.

Ask people to pray for you, I will.

Make God your #1priority.

Did I mention pray?

we all go through times like those, even us old people...(speaking of myself of course) :)
And we tend to be the hardest on ourselves..let your friends help you when they reach out to you.

This makes me think of a moment I had at Russell library today. At first I hesitated to sit next to a man who appeared to be homeless and was sitting out the rain in the reading area.So I pretended to be looking for something. Then I told myself to knock it off, I turned myself around and sat down. He gave me a nice smile and I read for a half an hour or so. When I got up we shared a smile, no words, no requests. He had light blue eyes.
